| Hello all comenius members, this is Barbara the teacher who is very happy to go to Orissaare too! !! Let me know more about you in this forum. I have to amit not to be an expert of writing in a forum but I will try, ok? So if some massage might not be on the right place let me know that immediately please. Thinking of migration I am observing every winter a kind of black birds (ravens I mean) on the fields around here and the people say they come from russia because it is too cold there at this time. I would like to know, if you can find them also in Prague or maybe in the summer in estonia? | |

| Hi Büsra - Quote :
- how to create the lessons better
I know what you mean - I try to do so for 25 years. It is very difficult, because every year (or 2 - 4 years) teachers get new students, so they have to explore what is the best for them at every time. Individuals! Every student has it´s own perception. That is why small groups of students are so much better! It´s a struggle but an exciting one. A tip for you as an individual: motivation is the key (you always have to look for the motivation to do something and if you ask yourself, why should I do that silly lesson, the answer is, that there is mostly nothing else to do). | |

| Christian you are right: motivation is the magical word but before you are motivited you have to find the sense in doing something. Wy should you learn when you don' t know for what you are doing this? So I like to make the students having practice in real live as much as possible. For example I am always wondering how the kids are working (also in their free time) for the projekts. As I know they never have a motivation problem and enjoy so much working for it. Or if you go to a lake and let tham examine the water or whatever I am sure they love it, don't they? | |

| Oh, it was a tip for matters without apparent sense for the students (philosophical). Water examination is a good example for what I meant: Some of the students love it to quantify alkalinity and conductivity and others hate this part of the examination (too technical - mathematical bullshit). Almost everyone loves to look for animals in the water. Or vice versa. | |

| SOOOOO MUCH WORK! But at the moment I suppose everybody is very busy! Easter holidays soon! Are there Easterholidays in Estonia, too? By the way, are there any interesting traditions we could put on the homepage?\ I've heard that Czech boys beat gils with a willow whip to keep them juicy. Is that true. And that this year girls can beat boys because it is a lap year. It would be nice to read more on the homepage. All the best to you all and ... holidazs soon.... and Estonia soon... Ursi | |
